Our Story

Welcome to UKID – Understanding Kids with Invisible Disabilities. We are parents of two incredible boys, both athletes, who have been navigating life with ADHD. With one in high school and the other in college, we have experienced firsthand the challenges, triumphs, and everyday realities of raising children with invisible disabilities.

Through years of advocating for our sons, supporting them in school, on the field, and in life, we realized how many families share similar journeys but often feel alone or misunderstood. That’s why we created UKID – to share our insights, experiences, and resources to help others navigate this path with confidence and support.

Our Mission

At UKID, our mission is to raise awareness, provide practical resources, and advocate for children with invisible disabilities. We believe that every child deserves to be understood, supported, and given the tools to succeed—both in and out of the classroom. By sharing our family’s journey, we hope to create a community where parents, educators, and advocates can come together to empower and uplift kids who think and learn differently.

What We Offer

Raising children with ADHD and other invisible disabilities is a journey filled with challenges and victories. Our goal is to provide support, inspiration, and a voice for families like ours. We invite you to explore, share, and be part of the movement to ensure every child is seen, heard, and given the opportunity to thrive.
